Citywish was set to be the next thing with coupons – providing amazing local coupons while supporting some great charity initiatives.
Chapolito completed a full redesign for Roadify, creating unique illustrations and a whole new look and feel for the company. Additionally, with this redesign the functionality of the site was expanded and we created intuitive user interfaces to allow people to utilize these new tools with ease.
About Roadify: With Roadify, people on the road GIVE and GET updates that help make traveling in Brooklyn easier. Roadify helps you find parking, hop on the bus, catch a train and more, by giving you easy access to real-time information from other commuters and transit data sources (like the MTA, NY Dept. of Transportation, Google Transit, etc.). We think of Roadify as the first comprehensive “social transportation” company, combining social networking with a wealth of published transit information.
Kanvaas.com, a fashion social network, approached me to completely design from the ground up their fashion centered social network. There was a lack of visual vision for the project but a plethora of enthusiasm. The art direction, user interface design and web design I provided was focused on creating a lightweight and didactic interface. Kanvaas is still currently in beta and I am constantly working with the owner and developers to improve it.
I Am on MTV was a social network platform for actors and talent who had appeared on MTV to connect with their fans. The user interface and web design I worked on was a redesign, reorganizing and essentially a re-envisioning of the site from a very outdated version.
Unfortunately, budget cuts forced the dismantling of the site not long after the launch. This huge site was the product of collaboration between Higly Evolved, Jay David and myself.
Psdtuts+, the most visited Photoshop tutorial site on the net contacted me to write an article about the web design process and best practices. The web interface tutorial, which covered a lot design patterns, Photoshop tips and general advice, was a big success and well received by the web design community.
I was hired to redesign the kidzui website. This was part of a larger effort to bring the functionality of the flash based KidZui application and move that to a more accessible online web version.
This is a PSA website for MTV promoting teens to avoid and be aware of digital abuse, sexting and other dangerous online habits. The main focus was an interactive video quiz that tested the knowledge of teens about what is the best ways to stop digital abuse and then recommend for them certain steps to improve based on their results
The web design was a collaboration between Cosmo Jones, Kimi Lewis, Jay David, Kirsten O’Laughlin and Chapolito.
M Power was a public relations initiative by MTV. The purpose was to connect users to causes and facilitate their involvement and impact with these issues. The design of the user experience called for a three-step interactive single-page process to complete a cycle of the site. Step one included utilizing musicians and MTV talent to initially grab users attention and then to introduce them to the issues. Step two was an interactive map and information and really allowed the users to explore and learn about the issues. Step three focused on getting the user involved and acting in a positive way toward influencing the issues.
Unfortunately, budget problems prevented the website from ever moving beyond the user interface designs and development was never started.
Nivea was hosting a “Goodbye Cellulite, Hello Bikini Challenge” to help women get in shape for summer and to promote their new cellulite-reducing lotion. I was hired to reskin an existing contest platform to closely mirror the branding of the campaign.
